FLEXIBLE DESIGN
The SB-2EX Auto is an automatic uniform side belt case taper designed to close all four top case flaps and seal the top and bottom of each case. The adjustable plow system provides the utmost flexibility for varying types of carton sealing applications and provides a great alternative to hand taping. The SB-2EX Auto will seal up to 20 cases per minute.
AUTOMATIC UNIFORM
The SB-2EX Auto will accept cartons from a powered conveyor and will automatically close the top carton flaps. A rugged stainless steel plow folds down the front panel, while a rear kicker folds down the trailing minor flap prior to the major flaps being folded. The SB-2EX Auto automatically meters cartons with a photoeye controlled drop conveyor gating system. Top squeezing rollers help keep the major flaps together while keeping the carton square prior to tape application.
EFFICIENT VERSATILITY
SB-2EX Auto offers fast and easy case changes and flexibility for boxes 5” to 24” in length. The adjustable hand cranks can be moved to either side of the machine and allow for quick carton change over. This feature allows you to locate either side against a wall, while being able to maintain control of the adjustments from the opposite side. SB-2EX Auto utilizes Eastey’s EX Quick-Load top and bottom tape cartridges and will seal boxes as narrow as 4.5” wide and as low as 5.0” tall.
AFFORDABLE FUNCTIONALITY
Top and bottom tape heads lift out for easy threading. The SB-2EX Auto accepts 2” wide pressure-sensitive tape as a standard, or can be ordered with 3” tape heads. The use
of Eastey’s SB-2EX Auto case taping machine can be learned quickly, avoiding breaks in production and downtime, saving your company money and increasing your ROI.
QUALITY CONSTRUCTION
SB-2EX Auto features CE approved dual drive motors and aggressive industrial strength side drive belts. Each case taping machine is made from 12 gauge steel that withstands
even the most rugged applications. A powder coated exterior protects the machine from abusive conditions and guarantees years of use.
The adjustable front flap plow folds down the leading minor flap as the case enters the taper.
The adjustable rear kicker folds down the trailing minor flap prior to the major flaps being folded.
Adjustable side rails and tape head offer fast and easy case changes.
Top and bottom tapeheads are identical and can be removed instantly without tools. Choose from two options.
Side rail product sensors trigger the drop infeed conveyor.
Conveyor with indexing drop help to meter the cartons and maintain correct spacing.
Conveniently located power and operations control are easily accessed.

The pressure gauge is adjustable and allows for easy air line connect/disconnect.
SB-2EX Auto’s electrical box is easily accessible for maintenance.
